Recreate heavily worn, damaged, or abandoned vehicle finishes with AK089 Heavy Chipping Fluid. This odorless acrylic fluid is the heavy-duty counterpart to AK088, formulated to produce larger, more dramatic paint chips and flaking effects rather than fine, scattered chipping.

How It Works:

1. 1. Apply a base color to your model — this is the color that will show through the chips.
   2. Apply your top coat color over the dried base layer.
   3. Brush on the Heavy Chipping Fluid between coats (or apply it and let it act as a resist beneath the final layer).
   4. Dampen with water and scrape away sections of the top coat using a pointed tool or a thick, stiff brush, revealing the base color beneath in large, irregular chips and worn patches.

Standard chipping techniques are great for small, scattered paint loss, but heavily damaged, rusted, or abandoned vehicles call for bigger, bolder degradation. AK089 is built specifically for that — letting you scrape back broad sections of paint to expose rusted metal, primer, or undercoats beneath, for a truly battle-worn or derelict finish.
